Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.2% in June 26–Monday
MOSCOW, Jul 4 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices grew 0.2% from June 26 through Monday, and inflation reached 2% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for poultry grew 1.7%, for millet by 0.8%, and for sugar, flour, and margarine increased 0.2–0.3%. Eggs became 0.7% cheaper. Prices for sterilized milk decreased 0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables fell 1.3% on average. Cucumber and tomato prices declined 8.3% and 9.2%, respectively, and prices for cabbage fell 8.9%. Prices for carrots grew 4.8%, and for potatoes, onions and apples went up 0.6–1.6%.
Gasoline prices remained almost flat, as well as diesel fuel prices.
